Wow has this year gone by already?
I would like to thank all of my officers and committee members who stayed the course with me through the whole year and took pride in this order and lodge.

Also, all of the employees and volunteers that keep this lodge up and running for the events all year long - many thanks.

To the Ladies Auxiliary, a big thank you for all of the time and effort in supporting us. You are true assets to this lodge and the Elks organization.

And of course, our members. Without you there would be no Etna Lodge. Thank you for your support throughout this past year.

I would like to congratulate Exalted Ruler-elect Laura Scotty and wish her well in the upcoming lodge year. Check out this bulletin for future events.

The Metropolitan District Night will conduct a Night at the Races to be held on Saturday March 27, 2010 at Oakmont Lodge - Tickets $15 per person.

The Night includes a buffet dinner at 7 PM, and all of the thrills of the races beginning at 8 PM. Price also includes bottle beer. You can even buy a horse and win even more. Proceeds benefit Elks Student Aid Fund.

The Fall Luncheon in November was one of the best ever. Thanks ladies. Events from the Luncheon benefit Elks charities.

Dinner includes salad, entree, potato, vegetable, dessert, and PA sales tax. Reservations required:

Nomination of officers for the new term beginning in April 2010 were conducted at the first regular Lodge Meeting on Tuesday February 2nd. Elections were held on Tuesday February 16th. These Officers were elected:

The Exalted Ruler appoints the Chaplain, Inner Guard and Esquire. Nominations for Tiler and Esteemed Lecturing Knight are still open. You must be at the meeting in order to be nominated. See Scott Hastings or Laura Scotty if interested.

2009/10 Awards Banquet
The annual year end Awards Program will be held on Saturday March 13, 2010.

The evening includes a social hour at 6:00, followed by dinner at 7:00, and the 2009 /10 Award presentations at 8:00. Entertainment to follow at 9:00 with DJ Ron.

Congratulations to: Elk of the Year, Carmen Violi; Officer of the year, Michael Kostrzewa; and Citizen of the Year Pastor Russell Horne.

Cost is $20 per person and all reservations are in advance.
