July is here and Beth and I are looking forward to attending the Grand Convention in Portland this month. I’m positive it will be a great experience loaded with useful information and ideas for our Lodge. Please look for my report in the next Bulletin.

Our Flag Day Service was well attended and included a presentation of our $500 donation to the Laurie Ann West Library. This donation was made possible through the efforts of our members in meeting our per capita goal for the Elks National Foundation. It’s not to late to sign up for ENF. See any officer of the Lodge. Let’s make 2010 another successful year.

We have some great events coming up in the next few months including Guyasuta Days, The Hoop Shoot, Drug Awareness, and various Home Services event fund raisers. We are always looking for volunteers. Remember - Elkdom+volunteerism = Success.
And don’t forget that 932 Starts with U - Unity.

The annual Guyasuta Days Celebration will held in Sharpsburg the week of August 3 - 8. Please sign the work list at the Lodge. We need as many volunteers as possible to man the Steeler Ticket Sales Booth as well as work the nightly Bingo.

This year we have 3 sets of Steeler Tickets and a Parking Pass

Ticket cost is $5 and is based on the 3 digit PA Lottery (night) drawing October 29, 30 and 31. Each ticket has two numbers and each ticket is valid for all three days. Two Steeler tickets awarded for each drawing including a parking pass for the 31st drawing.
